The man
Terry A. Davis (1969–2018) built TempleOS: a public-domain operating system, 640×480, sixteen colors, one address space, HolyC, written mostly alone. He said God told him to. He also had schizophrenia. Both of those sentences can be true at once. Neither is a punchline.
He died in The Dalles, Oregon, on 2018-08-11, hit by a train. The OS is still on disk. The man is not.
